Specialist insurer Ecclesiastical and iprism have launched a new digital platform providing cover for smaller not-for-profit organisations.

The new platform builds on Ecclesiastical’s existing partnership with iprism and will make it easier to reach the market and brokers directly. The partnership also gives Ecclesiastical access to iprism’s own extended distribution, including smaller not-for-profit organisations.

As a uniquely charity-owned insurer that gives back to communities through its charitable giving, Ecclesiastical is already making a difference at a local level. It’s now looking to partner with brokers that know and understand the risks their customers face better than anyone else to expand on that support.

The new offer comes with an e-trading platform that has been developed with iprism and provides brokers with a quicker, easier way of getting a quote for customers. The system has been developed to allow brokers to input customer information directly into the platform and automatically quote a premium as well as produce the relevant policy documents.

iprism CEO Ian Lloyd said: “Ecclesiastical is an important partner for iprism so I’m delighted that we’ve been able to work together to deliver this new platform. It brings together our technical expertise in e-trading with their products to offer more choice, more convenience and greater accessibility for brokers.”

Chris Withers, schemes and facilities director at Ecclesiastical Insurance, added: “This new proposition builds on our already excellent trading relationship with iprism. They have market-leading underwriting, distribution capability and a shared alignment to our philosophies which makes it an ideal partnership.

“It gives Ecclesiastical’s regional teams additional capacity to focus on growing our business in niche areas while maintaining our position as an insurer that supports local communities through our products and charitable giving.”
